Linda (Legge) Williams was born and raised in the community of Flat Bay, NL. In her late teens, Linda moved to Montreal, QC where she met and married her husband, Roland. They moved back to Newfoundland in the early 1980’s where they raised their three daughters in the community of St. George’s, where they still reside.

Linda is employed at the Royal Canadian Legion in St. George’s, where she has worked for the past twenty-one years. She is also a member of the Legion and Ladies Auxiliary. The Legion has been involved with many aboriginal events such as the Elder’s Feast and the Indian Cove Women Social.

Linda has been a member of the Federation of Newfoundland Indians for approximately fifteen years and currently holds the position of Director of the St. George’s Indian Band. She believes working with other members will enhance the Mi’Kmaq culture in the community.
